How to view Tasks in Microsoft Outlook 2010

Tasks are displayed in three locations in Microsoft Outlook 2010. To view your tasks, do any of the following:

  • In the Navigation Pane
1. From the [Navigation Pane], click on [Tasks].
2. Click a task to view it in the Reading Pane, or double-click it to open it in a new window. 

  • In the To-Do Bar
1. On the [View tab], in the [Layout] group, click on [To-Do Bar].
2. Click on [Task List].

You can get more information about your tasks by expanding the To-Do Bar, or double-click a task to open it in a new window.
  • In the Daily Task List
The Daily Task List appears only in the Day and Week views in your Outlook Calendar. Do the following steps to display only the count of current tasks.
1. From the [Navigation Pane], click on [Calendar].
2. On the [View] tab, in the [Layout] group, click [Daily Task List] and then click Minimized.
