How to add Picture Effect

Microsoft Office 2007/2010 allow users to add and/or make changes to effects applied on pictures. There are several effects options available for users in all Microsoft Office 2010 applications.  To add (and/or change) an effect to a picture here are some steps to follow:

  1. After you add a picture make sure it is activated by click the image.
  2. When an image is activated it adds a Format tab to the ribbon
  3. Click the Format tab and on the Picture Styles group click Picture effects
  4. On the Picture effects menu, select the effect of your choice

To change an effect that has been applied to a picture

  1. Click on the picture to activate it (That will also activate the Format Tab)
  2. Click on picture effects and at the end of the effects menu click on the effect command 
  3. From the effect menu choose the effect type [Options]
  4. Apply effect changes in the Options dialogue box
